You want to get noticed! You want to be cool! And you want quality! We know just how to design cutting-edge graphics, we stay ahead of the trends, and we look at
what everyone else is wearing. We understand the printing process, so we can design out-of-the-box. Most importantly, we offer colorful, comfortable, head-turning designs.
If you are tired of just plopping your logo on a t-shirt and going with it, we think you’ll like what Kinetics 7 may have in store for you.
Sublimation is the most impressive and detailed way to personalize your clothes, allowing endless design possibilities. Designs can incorporate any color, gradient, font or effect you can think of.
The basic sublimation process uses special heat sensitive dyes to print graphics, text and virtually any image on special transfer paper. The paper is placed in the pre-cut fabric pattern and both are placed in a heat press. When the heating cycle is completed, the image on the paper has been permanently transferred to the material.
This is reason why sublimation is always performed on a polyester, polymer or polymer coated material.
At high temperatures, the solid dye becomes a gas without becoming a liquid. The same high temperature opens the pores of the polyester fabric and allows the gas to enter. When the temperature drops, the pores close and the gas returns to a solid state and becomes part of the fabric.
This is another reason why sublimation cannot be done on natural materials, such as 100% cotton. Natural fibers and uncoated materials that do not have "pores" to open cannot accept the gas vapor. Dye particles are designed to bond with polyester, and ignore everything else. It's like trying to mix oil and water with most natural materials.
Sublimation refers to the change of the solid state to the gaseous state without becoming a liquid.
Sublimation is a process in which solid dye particles are transformed into gas using heat and pressure, and subsequently bind with any polymer present and change back into a solid.
Dark materials cannot be used with the sublimation process, so all our sublimated clothing starts as solid white cloth. Garments decorated with a sublimation transfer cannot be detached as images on shirts decorated with screen printing.
To reiterate, this is not ink that is placed on the top of the fabric; it is a dye that penetrates the fiber of the fabric. This is the reason why all our sublimated garments are guaranteed to never fade, crack or peel off. However, being an individual print per garment and taking into account the different fabrics used, there may be variations in the printing.
Sublimation (as the term refers to the printing of clothing) is a process whereby the ink burns unto the fibers of the garment, unlike the way in which the ink sticks on the material in conventional screen printing .
The technical benefits of sublimation are as impressive as the design capabilities. Once a design has been sublimated, in effect, it will become part of the material. This means that the design will stretch with the fabric, allow sweat to be absorbed through the design, and the image surface will not crack or fade over time, or with constant washing.
Full body sublimation consists of sublimating fabric panels before sewing them together, which allows to maximize the design space and incorporate every square inch of the garment. This requires special attention to the design since it must be:
• Located on a special template.
• Placed so that each part of the design fits the different garment sizes.
• Adjusted to ensure that the colors produced match expectations.
• Printed on giant sheets of specialized paper, and then sublimated in the desired material.
